EUC SE in an RV

Living out the digital workspace

Welcome

In the post-pandemic world, it is increasingly commonplace to have a hybrid workforce, or some workers located solely at home, away from an office. I aim to embody the "anywhere workspace" - the idea that you can do work from anywhere on any device - through the Omnissa solutions Workspace ONE and Horizon. For the last ~2 years, I have lived full-time in an RV in Virginia, and have worked as an EUC Solutions Engineer at Omnissa (formerly VMware). I not only live the anywhere workspace, but also make that vision a reality for our customers. To get started, see the navigation menu in the top left corner, and see pages listed under "Articles".

What's New

Horizon allows for consistent secure access to virtual desktops and applications in the datacenter. Workspace ONE ensures a consistent security posture of end user devices / physical endpoints, while providing a consistent end user experience. Workspace ONE and Horizon can work together to amplify each other's impact in your environment.

Don't want to grant all users administrative rights on their machines? In this article, I talk through how you can control administrative rights on machines, automatically granting or removing those rights, through two different methods.

With the "endpoint management" configuration option in "Device Integrations" in Okta, you are able to ensure that devices are enrolled in an MDM prior to allowing access to certain SaaS applications. In this blog post, I talk through pushing out the Okta certificate through Workspace ONE UEM, or leveraging the AirWatch CA to verify that devices are enrolled in an MDM in Okta.

In Workspace ONE UEM, MacOS has a "lost mode" feature to lockout the device using the lock command. This article goes through creating similar functionality for Windows via the scripting functionality.
